Clayton B. Walker earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin before pursuing a PhD in biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University. During his doctoral studies, he collaborated with the University of Southern California on groundbreaking research to enhance and apply optical coherence tomography (OCT) in otology. His expertise spans fiber optic endoscope design, advanced microscopy, and leveraging 3D printing for prototyping innovative optical systems. Passionate about the future of photonics, Clayton envisions transformative advancements driven by the increasing quality and speed of 3D-printed custom optics.
